My Fitbit is reasonably accurate on distance when I'm walking on flat pavements, but I now know that I take a lot more steps when going steeply up or down hill, so at the extreme I had days in the Pyrenees last summer (steep eroded paths = I take micro-steps!) when the Fitbit thought I'd walked 6 miles further than I had. It's no wonder I was knackered at the end of those days!Gaylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08648378503343413924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7741901748146303937.post-44032920166378521132016-03-22T18:44:06.657+00:002016-03-22T18:44:06.657+00:00Very true Bob. They made us most welcome.Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09839157927650251268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7741901748146303937.post-90935273373286171152016-03-22T17:50:50.244+00:002016-03-22T17:50:50.244+00:00I agree that prices are far too expensive. In my mind there are too many properties , at the high end of spec for those of us who will be on the hills all day. However if they are successful in letting costs will not reduce.Bob Andrewshttp://bobsoutdoors.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7741901748146303937.post-59771595500857062742016-03-21T16:02:37.456+00:002016-03-21T16:02:37.456+00:00Went in to granny mode and made much use of the tr...Went in to granny mode and made much use of the trekking poles on the steep stuff Alan!<br />It is an awful shame about the high prices in the Lakes. It does not encourage folk to visit. In all probability visits in that area will be very limited in the future.Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09839157927650251268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7741901748146303937.post-39021518234974256782016-03-21T15:53:57.232+00:002016-03-21T15:53:57.232+00:00That is a steep ascent. I can't believe how expensive it is just to take a dog indoors. Typical lakes ripoff.AlanRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07180571503542781921noreply@blogger.com
